Message from Our Principal

Divine Heritage Christian College functions with the belief that God lends children to parents and teachers for a short period of their life span. The first few years of a child’s life are very critical and considered as the formative years. This is the time when character, standards and attitudes are developed. With this in mind, we as a school, strive to anchor the young people’s development in a loving Christian atmosphere. The goal of the school curriculum is to help each child find his/her full potential in every area of development: the spiritual, social/emotional, cognitive and physical. We believe that young people grow and learn through experiences. It is these experiences which lay the foundation of our behaviour and guide us to the “values” students will hold for life

True education means more than the perusal of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come. (EG White, Education, p. 13)

Our environment therefore encourages children not only to make informed choices, but also to make them freely under spirit led guidance and support. We endeavour to assist children discover alternatives when faced with choices, weigh alternatives thoughtfully reflecting on the consequences of each alternative. We encourage children to consider what it is that they prize and cherish. DHCC also gives the learners opportunities to affirm their faith, encourage them to act, hope, believe, behave and live in accordance with the teachings of his word.

DHCC believes in total stakeholder involvement. We see Parents, students’ and the school authorities as team which complements each other’s efforts. You are cordially invited to join hands with us in supporting our children both at home and at school every day.

I thank you for bestowing your faith and confidence in us to guide your child towards this end. We look forward to a very meaningful and symbiotic relationship with all stakeholders
